Retrofits and Upgrades

Extend the life and performance of your existing machinery with custom retrofits and upgrades.

Retrofitting involves updating outdated components with new ones, enhancing the system foundation and potentially improving machine performance. Start by identifying your organizational goals and technical needs. Haumiller is poised to provide all necessary elements for a seamless retrofit, aiding in the selection of equipment for optimal outcomes and managing the engineering, installation, and commissioning of the system.

Recognizing that your hardware and software might be aging or obsolete may prompt a full revision of your industrial control system. Haumiller specializes in producing custom automation solutions, including continuous motion assembly machines and high-speed assembly systems. Retrofitting—updating rather than maintaining obsolete parts or buying a new system—can be a practical choice, especially for standard or semi-custom products like packaging machinery.

Retrofitting Offers Several Advantages:

  • Energy Efficiency: Upgrading to new, high-speed continuous motion components usually results in improved energy efficiency.
  • Cost-effective Repairs: With readily available replacement parts and technical support, repairs become more affordable, reducing the risk of prolonged, costly downtime.
  • Enhanced Performance: Retrofitting can lead to better functionality and high-speed assembly. Haumiller excels in integrating assembly automation to optimize your processes during retrofitting.
  • Compact Design: Modern components are often more compact, saving valuable panel space and aligning with custom automation engineering principles.

Haumiller's expertise in continuous motion assembly machines, assembly automation, and custom automation engineering positions it uniquely to support your retrofitting needs, ensuring high-speed, efficient, and cost-effective system updates.

Our Testing Process Simplified

Our testing team isn't trying to make the machine work, it's trying to make the machine fail. We assess the durability of every machine to ensure your machine will last with any operator under any condition.

Phase 1

A series of short tests of every separate function of the machine to find obvious errors while running only the specific parts, and is completed when each function of the machine has run approximately 10 seconds.

Phase 2

Phase 2 is a series of tests, operating the machine as a whole interactive system. It is completed when the machine has run approximately 5 consecutive minutes with every function working.

Phase 3

A test of each specified set of parts, with every function working and the machine operating as a complete, interactive system. This phase is considered complete when the machine has run satisfactorily for 30 consecutive minutes unless a different time frame is specified.
